Our client is an ASX-listed company based in Melbourne, a significant player in the FMCG sector, particularly in the beverages market, since 1988. About the role:
The Supply and Inventory Manager will report directly to the Director of Product and will be responsible for managing all raw materials to ensure they are available as needed for optimized production. This role includes maintaining appropriate safety stock levels, as access to raw materials is essential. Additionally, the Supply and Inventory Manager will supervise one direct report, the Procurement Coordinator, and will collaborate with the Production Planner on the team. This role will also involve auditing, reporting, and process improvement related to supply and inventory control.
 
Skills & Experience:

Key requirements for this role include:
  • Preferred degree in supply chain management.
  • APICS certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and inventory tasks.
  • Over 7 years of experience in the supply chain industry.
 
Skills & Knowledge:  
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety principles and practices, including injury management and OHS.
  • Proficiency in all relevant software packages, including Microsoft Suite, MRP system. Experience with MYOB would be a plus.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • Leadership with the ability to motivate a multi-disciplined team to achieve financial and performance targets.
  • Communication skills across all levels, both written and verbal.
  • Accountability for decisions and willingness/ability to operate autonomously.
