About the Role

The General Manager Supply Chain is responsible for delivering an efficient and effective operations function covering inventory management, commercial supply chain, and logistics. The key focus will be to assess what is working well with the network and supply base, and then identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce cost whilst maintaining consistent service levels.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead both day to day operations and strategic initiatives across inventory, logistics and supplier management.
  • Inventory management and facilitation of weekly stock out meetings and conducting route cause analysis on any supply chain issues.
  • Group procurement, including covering commercial terms, for local and overseas suppliers.
  • Delivery of material cost savings across product and ancillary spend areas.
  • Integration and alignment of practices across multiple business units to optimise operations.  
Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have gained extensive supply chain experience in a high sku, high velocity environment, and possess core strengths within inventory management and supplier management, with warehousing experience viewed as an additional benefit. The role suits a collaborative leader, who displays both curiosity and flexibility, and who can also react quickly and be decisive when required.
