Our client are a market leader in supplying high-quality products and services to the commercial, industrial, and government sectors and play a key role in shaping the built environment across Australia and New Zealand. With an exciting year ahead and kicking off  their 5 year supply chain strategy they are looking for a National General Manager of Logistics to join them.

The role reports to the Executive General Manager and works closely with National and State leadership teams to deliver safe, cost effective, service focused, and efficient logistics operations. The role will create and deliver the rolling 5-year strategic roadmap and have accountability for the delivery of financial performance, safety, CoR, fleet and maintenance, industrial relations, CAPEX business cases and continuous improvement initiatives in areas like Fleet Design & Utilisation, Cost Optimisation, Logistics Structure, CoR, Safety & Compliance Systems and Technology. 

We are looking for a General Manager/Head of Logistics/National Logistics Manager from a heavy industries background with a demonstrated track record in leading national logistics/transport operations with a complex fleet mix in large matrix structured businesses. They will be a strategic thinker with strong commercial and operational nous, be a dynamic and persuasive leader who can engage with diverse stakeholder groups, confidently sell the vision, and leveraging negotiation and influencing skills to deliver business outcomes. They will be solutions focused, have a high level of EQ and be effective at building relationships, navigating complexity and ultimately have a passion for logistics, and be able to add value and deliver operational and transformational change.
