Your Job

This business is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to join their already strong team. You will be overseeing the design of high end apartment projects which range between $60m - $90m in value. You will be instrumental in ensuring design keeps pace with construction and the projects run smoothly. As a pivotal member of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of the project from conception to completion, contributing to their reputation for delivering projects of the highest standard.
 
Your Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Construction Management, Bachelor of Quantity Surveying, Bachelor of Architecture or Trade qualifications with experience in a design position.
  • Working knowledge and experience with construction specific programs Procore (Preferred),
  • Proven experience working for the builder or developer / builder in a design position, influencing build-ability through design smarts.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contract terms and conditions, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage all consultant contractual documentation, including agreements, variations, and claims, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve any contractual issues or disputes in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditure, providing regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project partners.
