Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Management
- The Head of Finance manages finance functions for the group. These functions include managing cashflows, the budgeting and auditing processes, preparation of end of month accounts and the preparation of year end statutory financial statements, balance sheets and FBT & BAS returns. Along with account reconciliations and managing end of year.
- The Head of Finance will work closely with all leaders to provide support, guidance and advice, whilst identifying areas of improvement.
- Manages relationship with banks and other key financial institutions, ensuring that the business funding needs are adequately managed.
- Maintain the relationship with the insurance agent, providing advice when an event requires a claim and negotiating through the annual renewal process.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to track performance and provide insights.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Partner with sales teams to analyse data, identify trends, and optimize revenue and profitability.
- Business Partnering with Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic recommendations and drive business growth.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions
- Reporting and Dashboards: Prepare regular financial reports and performance dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment on financial targets and strategies.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements., ensuring all tax obligations are met.
- Maintain all financial accounts, including assets ensuring accurate recording of transactions.
- Lead the finance and payroll teams and develop relationships based on trust, respect and open communication.
- Makes decisions based on what is best for business (and its people) and take ownership of these decisions.
- The Head of Finance will travel to offices in order to maintain relationships. This role is an escalation point for the ELT, leaders, the finance team and members of the administration team.
- Provide innovative thinking to drive financial strategies that support long term plans.
- Drive their own career, will promote an environment of learning and development and work with their team to develop their skills. This role inducts new employees to the finance and payroll teams.
