Six Degrees Executive has partnered with a market leader in the food manufacturing space, to recruit a Site QA Officer for their Sydney based manufacturing site. Specialising in RTE products, the business supplies a wide range of customers including retailers, airlines, QSRs, caterers and more.

About the Role:
As the Site QA Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance across the site. You will support the Site Manager in championing the Food Safety and Quality Culture of the site, lead audit preparation, maintain compliance documentation, and collaborating cross-functionally with key departments and suppliers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement in food quality
 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and administer the QMS including document control, SOPs, records, and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, sampling, and testing of products to ensure compliance with food safety and customer requirements.
  • Review technical documentation such as formulations, labels, and Product Information Forms.
  • Oversee raw material and supplier compliance, including maintaining the Approved Supplier List and reviewing COAs.
  • Prepare for internal, external, customer, and certification audits, and support follow-up actions.
  • Investigate quality incidents and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Coordinate training for staff on food safety, quality policies, and audit readiness.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compliance across departments.
 

About You:
  • (Must have) 2 - 3 years of experience in a food QA or compliance role in the Food or Beverage industry
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience working with HACCP, GMP, QMS, and audit frameworks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving ability with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, short shelf-life production environment.
