Our client is a global industrial manufacturer and service provider with a strong footprint across Australia and New Zealand. Known for their precision engineering, customer-led solutions, and long-standing industry partnerships, they play a critical role in keeping infrastructure, manufacturing, and heavy industry moving. As part of their growth plans, they have created a new role of Customer Delivery & Order Manager to join the team.
 
Reporting to the CEO, this newly created role will take full accountability for managing customer orders and delivery across the business – leading a team of 7 across order management, logistics, scheduling, and customer service. With approximately 200 orders processed each month through 3 facilities, the role will be responsible for ensuring seamless delivery outcomes across both standard products and engineered solutions. Key focus areas include:
  • Managing the end-to-end customer order cycle, from intake through to delivery.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall SST performance.
  • Collaborating with workshop managers, production, and internal stakeholders to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Report to Financial team with monthly revenue forecast and inventory requirements.
  • Overseeing order scheduling and prioritisation across multiple sites to meet customer expectations.
  • Driving improvements in order management processes, customer communication, and delivery performance.
 
We’re looking for an Order Management Project Manager, Customer Supply Chain Manager, or Customer Delivery Manager with a strong background in managing complex customer orders in a manufacturing environment. You’ll bring proven experience coordinating high-volume order flow, resolving service delivery challenges, and partnering with production and workshop teams to deliver engineered solutions. A strong mechanical or engineering aptitude will be essential to work through technical order requirements and ensure alignment with customer specifications.
