This role plays a key part in driving process improvements, helping implement new systems, and supporting smarter, more efficient ways of working. With a broad remit, you'll be involved in everything from helping shape strategy and future planning, all while ensuring the business is set up for continued growth and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To work with the External Accountant to produce monthly management accounts including Budgets, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow & profitability reporting. This includes responsibility for assisting and advising bookkeeping staff on journal entries.
  • Work closely with the Directors and senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across finance and operational functions to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead the implementation and optimisation of financial systems, including ERP upgrades or new software rollouts. (Note, we are in the early stages of implementing a new ERP system).
  • Oversee all financial and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end and year-end results.
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis and insights to support business performance and identify opportunities for growth or cost savings.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning with operational goals and business plans.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant tax, regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Mentor and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Experience & Qualifications: 
  • Qualified Accountant CPA or CA (ideally but not a must) 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and demonstrable experience
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel & ERP System implementations
