Our client is a well regarded international industrial manufacturer, recognised for delivering high quality, reliable products to global markets. As the company continues to evolve, they are now seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join their site in Milperra.

This is a key leadership role for someone with a strong engineering background, capable of leading teams, managing multiple projects, and driving operational improvements. The ideal candidate will also bring experience in facilities management and a hands-on mindset to support the business at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a maintenance team across both electrical and mechanical functions
  • Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to identify and resolve issues
  • Manage repair and maintenance budgets, inventory, and spare parts
  • Drive cost control while balancing operational needs
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of reliable equipment and processes
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to achieve wider business goals

Skills & Experience:
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on mechanical/electrical experience (manufacturing preferred)
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong background in troubleshooting, fault finding, and root cause analysis
  • Exposure to facilities management is highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with plant maintenance systems (ERP/MRP)
  • Solid understanding of QA, EHS standards, GMP, and GDP
