The Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in developing and implementing effective maintenance and improvement programs for all plant and equipment. This role focuses on minimising downtime, optimising production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Engineering Manager will work closely with Production, Quality, and Operational Excellence teams to support company operations and business goals. They will lead, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, while overseeing preventative maintenance programs and managing engineering projects from concept to completion to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
 
The role also involves coordinating the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, and implementing process improvements. Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, monitoring engineering performance metrics, managing costs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives are key responsibilities. The Engineering Manager will also implement sustainable manufacturing practices to minimise environmental impact, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and sustainably.
 
Skills & Experience
  • Essential:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
    • 7+ years engineering experience, including 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role in manufacturing.
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, machinery, and process improvement.
    • Proven project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
    • System: Lisec, would be beneficial but not essential
    • Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
