This is a newly created role sitting at the centre of a growing business that has recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The foundations are in place, now it’s about getting more out of the platform, improving how the business operates, and using AI to drive smarter, more efficient ways of working.

You’ll operate as the go-to IT person, taking ownership across systems, infrastructure and day-to-day support, while also shaping the longer-term technology and AI roadmap. It’s a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and being close to the business.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Own and optimise Microsoft Business Central, building deep system knowledge and improving how it’s used across the business
  • Reduce reliance on external vendors by bringing capability in-house and getting hands-on with configuration and support
  • Identify opportunities to use AI to streamline operations, improve workflows and reduce manual effort
  • Develop and document SOPs to create consistency and scalability across systems and processes
  • Support and enhance the B2B ordering platform (Eversource) and its integration with core systems
  • Manage day-to-day IT operations including hardware, laptops, screens and general infrastructure
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal IT support, troubleshooting issues across systems and users
  • Partner with stakeholders across finance, supply chain and operations to understand pain points and drive improvements
  • Build and deliver a practical 1–2 year IT and AI roadmap aligned to business goals
  • Ensure systems are secure, reliable and fit for purpose as the business grows
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or broader Dynamics 365 experience with the ability to transition quickly)
  • A true generalist who’s comfortable owning IT end-to-end in a standalone or small team environment
  • Someone who enjoys challenging the status quo and finding better ways of doing things
  • Curiosity and initiative when it comes to AI, with a focus on practical, value-driven use cases
  • Hands-on approach, you’re just as comfortable fixing a laptop issue as you are improving a system workflow
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders
