Assistant Accountant
About the Company
A global, manufacturing-led business with strong operations across Asia and a growing footprint in Oceania, this organisation combines the backing of an established international parent with a lean, locally based team. With close ties to head office and a focus on driving efficiency across production and supply chain, the business is continuing to invest in its Australian operations, offering a hands-on environment where individuals can take real ownership and have a direct impact on how the finance function evolves.
About the Role
This position is a full-time permanent opportunity based out of their CBD offices with three days in the offices and two from home.
Key responsibilities:
This is a broad, hands-on accounting role offering real ownership within a lean finance team. About You
We’re looking for a confident, proactive Assistant Accountant who thrives in a lean, hands-on environment. You’ll have a solid grounding in accounting fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of processes from AP/AR through to month-end. Ideally, you’ll have experience in manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture, or retail, and be comfortable working with systems like NetSuite or Xero. Mandarin language skills would be a bonus, but are not essential. Above all, you’re someone who can work independently, improve workflows, and support a small but growing finance team.
