We are partnering with a global FMCG manufacturing business to appoint a Warehouse & Logistics Lead based in Campbellfield. This is a pivotal 2IC to the Supply Chain Manager, taking ownership of day-to-day warehouse and transport operations while stepping up as the key point of contact when the Supply Chain Manager is off-site. This role suits someone who enjoys being close to operations, leading from the front, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
 
The Role
 
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring service, cost, and safety outcomes are consistently achieved.
You will play a critical leadership role on site, ensuring operational continuity and decision-making when senior leadership is not present.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, inventory control, and storage optimisation
  • Manage transport and distribution activities, ensuring strong service levels and on-time delivery
  • Act as the site lead in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, cost, and performance
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across production, planning, and customer service
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Monitor and report on key operational KPIs
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to drive performance and engagement
 
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse and logistics leadership within FMCG, food, or manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP (Logistics / Warehouse Management modules)
  • Proven experience managing transport operations and coordination (3PL exposure advantageous)
  • Valid forklift licence with a willingness to remain hands-on when required
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leader who is comfortable being on the floor and making decisions
  • Track record of driving operational improvements and efficiencies
  • Systems-savvy with the ability to leverage data for decision-making
  • Able to work autonomously and confidently step into a broader leadership role when required
