The Business
This organisation is a large, well-established business operating a complex, high-volume distribution network across Australia. With a strong presence in the market and a focus on continuous improvement, they are currently navigating a period of operational change and integration. To support this, they are bringing in experienced interim capability to ensure key logistics initiatives are delivered effectively during a critical phase.
The Role
As the Interim State Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of key logistics initiatives across a major NSW distribution centre and a newly established 3PL partnership. The immediate priority will be leading the integration of a new business unit into the existing DC operation, including onboarding a large SKU range and associated inventory. Alongside this, you will oversee and manage 3PL performance, ensuring delivery against agreed service levels, while driving a number of standalone logistics projects through to completion. This role sits alongside the existing DC leadership team, allowing you to focus purely on project execution without BAU responsibility.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a seasoned logistics leader with a track record of delivering complex operational projects within fast-paced environments. Having operated at State Logistics Manager or Senior DC Manager level, you bring strong experience managing 3PL providers and holding them accountable to performance outcomes. You are comfortable stepping into ambiguous environments, quickly building credibility, and driving results with minimal direction. Backgrounds within large-scale retail, FMCG, or leading 3PL organisations will be highly regarded, as will experience working in interim or consulting capacities.
Six Degrees Executive acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live. We are also committed to equal opportunity and strive to promote diversity, inclusion, belonging, flexibility, and accessibility in all that we do.
Should you require assistance in your interactions with us or through a recruitment process, please let us know so we can provide adjustments for you.
