Senior Digital Content Advisor
5-Month Contract | Starting June/July | Hybrid | Melbourne

We’re partnering with a purpose-led organisation to recruit a Senior Digital Content Advisor for a 5-month contract commencing end of June / early July.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for a strong digital storyteller who lives and breathes social media, understands audience behaviour, and can create engaging content that cuts through across multiple platforms particularly TikTok.

You’ll join a collaborative digital communications team, leading and delivering high-impact content across campaigns, rapid-response moments, events and day-to-day communications. This role suits someone who thrives in reactive environments, keeps across trends and political narratives, and enjoys balancing strategy with execution.

Key responsibilities
  • Create and deliver engaging digital content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube
  • Lead content planning and contribute to platform-specific digital strategy
  • Identify reactive content opportunities tied to news, trends, politics and culture
  • Produce short-form video and social-first content with a strong understanding of platform best practice
  • Support digital campaigns, audience engagement and content optimisation
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including fundraising, communications and campaign working groups
  • Analyse campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations
About you
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital communications, social media or content production
  • Strong hands-on social media experience is essential, particularly with TikTok
  • Proven ability to create engaging, high-performing social content across multiple platforms
  • Confident working in fast-moving, reactive environments with quick turnaround times
  • Strong understanding of social trends, platform algorithms and audience behaviour
  • Experience using Adobe Suite, Canva and content scheduling tools
  • Comfortable filming content and ideally appearing on camera when required
  • Experience within purpose-led, advocacy, NFP or climate-related organisations is highly regarded
Additional details
  • Hybrid working — 2 days in office
  • Ideally suited to someone with access to a car for occasional travel/content capture
  • Melbourne-based contract role
