Reliability Engineer
An exciting opportunity is available for a Reliability Engineer to join Chobani, a business known for its strong values, quality products, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Chobani is currently experiencing significant growth and is in a particularly busy phase, with major expansion initiatives underway to double and, in some areas, triple production capacity. This creates a strong opportunity to step into a role where you can influence how the plant scales and performs.

The Role
This role suits someone who enjoys being close to operations, equally comfortable analysing data as they are on the production floor understanding how equipment is performing.

A key aspect of the position is acting as the link between capital projects and operations to ensure new equipment is correctly set up from a reliability and maintenance perspective before transitioning into steady-state BAU support once commissioned.

Key responsibilities
The Reliability Engineer will play a key role in improving plant performance by driving asset reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and optimising maintenance strategies across a fast-paced yogurt production environment. The role is highly collaborative and focused on proactive, data-led improvements.

The role focuses on improving asset reliability across the site through monitoring equipment performance, analysing failure trends, and strengthening preventive and predictive maintenance programs. There is also involvement in capital projects, ensuring reliability is considered during design and commissioning as the site continues to expand.

A core part of the position is leading root cause analysis on breakdowns and driving practical, long-term improvements that increase uptime and equipment performance. Data analysis is central, with responsibility for tracking metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, and OEE, and using these insights to support decision-making.

The engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams, ensuring all activities align with food safety standards and that maintenance data is accurately captured within CMMS to support reporting and audits.

Key Requirements
  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline
  • Approximately 4+ years’ experience within a manufacturing environment (food/dairy highly regarded)
  • Experience with CMMS (MEX or similar) and reliability methodologies such as FMEA, RCA, or RCM
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a hands-on approach
  • Effective communicator who can engage across multiple stakeholders
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or TPM will be viewed favourably.
Why consider this role
This is an opportunity to join Chobani during a period of substantial growth, with real scope to impact plant performance and be involved in key expansion initiatives.
