Are you a sports and tech nut? We’re partnering with a global technology business at the intersection of sport, data and digital experiences. They work with some of the world’s most recognised sporting organisations, leagues, clubs and major events, delivering modern data platforms, fan apps, integrations and insight solutions that genuinely move the dial.
They’re now looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Melbourne team.
This is a client-facing role with strong technical ownership, helping shape solutions for premium sports clients across Australia and internationally. You’ll work across cloud platforms, data environments and digital products, partnering closely with stakeholders to solve real business problems. There’s also opportunity for international travel and collaboration with global delivery teams. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, can move between strategy and detail, and is comfortable being the technical voice in the room.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Engage clients and stakeholders to understand challenges, priorities and future needs
  • Design scalable cloud and data solutions aligned to business outcomes
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, practical recommendations
  • Work with engineering and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects
  • Contribute to architecture standards, best practice and continuous improvement
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend where they add value
  • Support projects across sports data, fan engagement, apps and major events
What we’re looking for:
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect or similar
  • Strong cloud capability across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex topics for non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, APIs, containers and microservices
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MS SQL
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of outcomes
  • Comfortable in client-facing environments with strong stakeholder skills
Nice to have
  • Cloud certifications
  • Python, JavaScript or scripting capability
  • Experience with data lakes, warehouses or lakehouse environments
  • CI/CD exposure and modern engineering practices
  • Security best practice knowledge
  • Leadership or project delivery experience
Why this role
  • Work with elite sporting organisations and major global brands
  • High-profile projects across data, digital and fan experience
  • Melbourne CBD office location 4-5 days per week
  • Strong growth business with genuine career progression
  • A rare chance to combine technology and sport without needing to kick a goal yourself
