This is not a transactional sales role. It is a genuine relationship-led opportunity for someone who understands the real estate industry, knows how to build trust with business owners, and can have meaningful commercial conversations with people who are deeply invested in their local communities.
 
About the role
As the Growth Membership Manager for Queensland, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting new member businesses across the state. You’ll work closely with a national growth team and senior leadership to understand key target markets, build a strong pipeline and represent the value of a well-established network to prospective members. This role is remote and can be based anywhere in Queensland, with regular travel across the state to meet prospective members, attend industry events and build genuine market presence.
 
What you’ll be doing
  • Driving new member acquisition across Queensland through proactive business development
  • Building meaningful relationships with independent real estate business owners and industry stakeholders
  • Identifying high-potential target markets and offices across metro and regional Queensland
  • Presenting a compelling membership proposition in a way that feels consultative, credible and commercially relevant
  • Managing the full growth process from outreach and engagement through to presentations, negotiations and onboarding
  • Working closely with national stakeholders to support broader network growth and retention strategies
  • Using market insights, data and local intelligence to prioritise activity and uncover opportunities
  • Representing the organisation at industry events, conferences and member-facing forums
 
About you
You will have a background in the real estate industry and a strong understanding of how agency businesses operate. You may come from sales, property management, recruitment, franchise/member support or a licensed real estate background. What matters most is that you understand the industry, can speak credibly with principals and business owners, and have the confidence to build relationships from the ground up.
 
You’ll also bring:
  • Real estate industry experience, ideally with exposure to agency networks, franchises or independent offices
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage business owners and senior stakeholders
  • Confidence in business development, networking and proactive outreach
  • Commercial curiosity and the ability to understand what drives an agency owner’s decision-making
  • Resilience, grit and the ability to stay motivated in a long-cycle growth environment
  • Strong communication skills with a consultative and genuine approach
  • The ability to work autonomously in a remote role while staying connected to a national team
  • A down-to-earth, emotionally intelligent and professional style
