Finance Manager

Location: sydney
Salary: Competitive salary on offer
Job Type: permanent
About the company

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior finance leadership role within a fast-growing services business and make a genuine commercial impact from day one.

Our client is a well-established, global business operating across healthcare, education, and social services, working closely with government departments and major institutional clients. The Australasian region covering Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore is in a strong growth phase, with Australian revenue up year-to-date and continued expansion planned across all three markets.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Regional Director, you will lead the regional finance function across ANZ and Singapore, managing one direct report locally and working closely with the international Head of Finance based in the UK.

This is a broad and commercially focused role, not just a financial management role. You will be a key member of the senior leadership team, with real influence over how the business operates, grows, and performs.

Key responsibilities
  • Full ownership of finance operations across ANZ including AP/AR, management accounting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Business partnering with sales and operational leaders to improve margins and cost management
  • Supporting EBITDA and revenue growth through meaningful financial insights and analysis
  • Leveraging ERP and Power BI to enhance reporting and decision-making capability
  • Managing aged debtors, improving data quality and driving process improvement initiatives
  • Supporting the transition of payroll and finance responsibilities from the UK into the regional structure
  • Acting as a trusted advisor across the regional leadership group
About you
You are most likely operating at the senior management accountant level, looking for a step up in responsibilities.
You will be :
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Background in management accounting and commercial finance environments
  • Exposure to multi-entity or international business structures
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI and ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement capability
  • High emotional intelligence, sound commercial judgement and the ability to influence in a matrix structure
  • Curious, ambitious, and genuinely motivated by growth and development
Industry background is flexible — commercial acumen, learning agility and cultural fit are prioritised over sector-specific experience.

What’s on offer
  • Hybrid working — 3 days in office / 2 days WFH after initial onboarding period
  • Annual Christmas shutdown not deducted from annual leave
  • A genuine seat at the leadership table in a high-growth regional business
