Six Degrees Executive is proud to be partneritng on this fantastic opportunity for a driven Account Manager to join a well-established business with a strong presence across the construction and infrastructure sectors. Based in Townsville, you will manage an established regional customer portfolio, with a focus on growing market share, strengthening customer relationships and identifying new opportunities across the region. With continued activity across civil, commercial and major project work, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in market, understands project-led sales and knows how to turn strong relationships into commercial outcomes.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and growing an existing customer base while actively pursuing new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing a portfolio of construction, civil and project-based customers
  • Building strong relationships across site, procurement and senior stakeholder levels
  • Identifying and converting new business opportunities
  • Conducting regular face-to-face customer visits across the region
  • Managing quotes, RFIs, claims, enquiries and follow-ups
  • Navigating longer-term sales cycles, tenders and commercial negotiations
  • Maintaining accurate CRM activity, pipeline and customer records
  • Working closely with internal teams across sales, operations, logistics and safety
About You
You will be commercially sharp, proactive and confident managing relationships across a broad customer base. Direct industry experience would be highly regarded, but it is not essential. What matters most is your ability to manage project-led B2B sales, stay organised and build trust with customers.

  • Proven B2B sales or account management experience
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Confidence managing quotes, tenders, pricing and negotiations
  • A proactive approach to new business and market growth
  • Strong CRM, systems and administration capability
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage your own territory
  • A down-to-earth, reliable and team-focused style
