The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Leading Hand to join a high-performing maintenance team at one of the organisation's key processing facilities. This hands-on leadership role will see you providing technical expertise and day-to-day direction to the electrical team, ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting the site's ongoing growth and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support daily electrical maintenance activities across the site.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to electricians and contractors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and automation issues to minimise production downtime.
  • Drive preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve asset reliability.
  • Support capital projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance teams to optimise plant performance.
  • Assist with maintenance planning, shutdown execution and resource coordination.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Requirements
  • 7+ years' industrial electrical trade experience, with exposure to instrumentation and automation systems highly regarded.
  • Strong preference for backgrounds from oil and gas, chemical, steel, or heavy manufacturing industries due to ingrained high standards.
  • Ability to drive the team and build capability.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, interested in puzzles and complex issues beyond simple connections.
  • Strategic technical ownership for the site.
