This is a pivotal leadership role within a well-established and growing Australian retail and franchise business, where technology is central to the next phase of scale, customer experience and operational performance.

Reporting to the COO and working closely with the executive team, you will own and deliver the end-to-end technology strategy across a complex, multi-channel environment - spanning eCommerce, retail systems, data and core infrastructure. This is an opportunity to shape the future state architecture, not just maintain the status quo.


The Opportunity

You will step into a broad, business-facing role with real influence, responsible for:
  • Defining and executing a forward-looking technology strategy aligned to commercial priorities
  • Leading the evolution of enterprise applications, architecture and ICT infrastructure
  • Driving digital and eCommerce capability, including ongoing platform optimisation and customer experience
  • Establishing robust data, reporting and business intelligence capability to support decision-making
  • Overseeing technology operations, service delivery and system performance across a distributed retail and franchise network
  • Strengthening cyber security, risk management, and business continuity frameworks
  • Acting as executive sponsor for key technology and transformation initiatives
  • Building and leading a high-performing team (small team of 8 in-house, plus external vendors), uplifting capability, structure and ways of working

About You

You are a senior technology leader with a track record of delivering in complex, customer-facing retail environments. You bring:
  • Experience leading technology within retail, franchise and multi-site businesses
  • A strong understanding of modern ICT environments, including applications, infrastructure, data and digital platforms
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to operate as a true business partner to executive stakeholders
  • Experience driving transformation, modernisation and continuous improvement
  • A leadership style that builds capability, accountability and high performance
