About the Business:

Six Degrees has partnered with a FMCG business with a national operational footprint that is seeking an experienced Procurement Business Partner to join its Supply Chain team. 

This is a rare opportunity to put your stamp on a procurement function from the ground up — owning governance, systems, and vendor relationships with real autonomy, rather than sitting in process administration. You'll partner directly with functional heads and site leaders across multiple states, acting as the subject matter expert on tendering, contracts, and vendor onboarding while helping shape the function's systems and workflows for the long term.

What you'll be doing:
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to functional heads who own category strategy
  • Owning procurement governance, reporting, processes, and tools across the business
  • Leading and supporting end-to-end procurement requirements, including tender processes, contract negotiation, vendor onboarding and supplier performance 
  • Identifying and mapping opportunities for cost reduction and complexity reduction across high-spend categories
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across a geographically diverse network of remote sites
  • Getting under the skin of the business early in meeting stakeholders across every site to map current state and pain points, and identify quick wins
  • Supporting the broader development and delivery of procurement strategy
  • Tidying up document control and vendor compliance as a foundational early priority
What you'll bring:
  • Min. 4 years' experience in a procurement role
  • Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments, where you've operated in fast-paced settings with frequent change
  • Strong working knowledge of tendering, contracts, and vendor onboarding processes
  • A self-starter mentality — autonomous and tenacious, comfortable working with systems and processes that need building up
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently from site-level operators through to executive leadership
What's on offer:
  • $115,000 - $125,000 + superannuation
  • Inner Brisbane office location, with 1-2 days WFH after onboarding
