About the Company
Our client is a growing Australian business entering an exciting phase of expansion, with ambitious plans for the years ahead. With a strong reputation in its industry and a focus on continuous improvement, the business is investing in its people, systems and processes to support long-term growth. Finance plays a critical role in the organisation, partnering closely with leadership to drive performance, improve decision-making and build a scalable finance function fit for the future.

About the Role

Reporting to the leadership team, this is a broad part-time Finance Manager position offering genuine ownership across the finance function. The business is flexible on how the hours are structured, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to balance a senior finance role with other commitments. You'll take responsibility for month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial controls, while partnering closely with key stakeholders to provide commercial insights that support business growth. This is a hands-on role where you'll oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and credit management, while mentoring a small finance team and strengthening processes across the business. You'll also play a key role in improving reporting, driving automation initiatives and embracing new technologies, including AI, to create a more efficient and scalable finance function. For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to shape the finance function and progress into a Financial Controller position as the business continues to grow.

About You

You are an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant looking to step into a broad leadership role within a growing business. Whether you're already working part-time or looking for greater flexibility without compromising on responsibility, this opportunity offers the chance to make a genuine impact. You will bring strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience, along with a proactive mindset and a passion for improving systems and processes. Experience managing or mentoring staff, excellent stakeholder management skills and strong ERP systems knowledge will be highly regarded. CA or CPA qualifications are preferred, while experience within transport, logistics or another operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
