Six Degrees Executive is partnering with Riviera Australia to appoint a Marketing Manager to its Gold Coast-based team. This newly created position will take ownership of the day-to-day marketing operation, and combines leadership with hands-on execution. You will help set priorities, improve processes and coordinate a capable in-house team, while remaining personally involved in developing ideas, writing and editing content, reviewing creative, and delivering campaigns and events.
 
The Business
Riviera Australia is one of Australia’s leading luxury motor yacht manufacturers, with a long-standing presence on the Gold Coast and an international customer base. The business designs and manufactures premium motor yachts for discerning owners around the world, with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, technical quality, product innovation and customer care. Its long-term product development plan creates an active pipeline of new product launches, content, events and international representative activity.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Brand & Communications Director, you will work as a team with the Director to help manage the operating rhythm of the marketing function and initiate and coordinate activity across brand, communications, PR, digital, social media, events, product launches and representative support. You will act as the conductor of an established in-house team covering graphic design, digital and web, production, social media and events. You will also manage selected media, writing and creative partners. Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business priorities into annual marketing plans, campaign calendars and practical workflows.
  • Manage priorities across product launches, events, communications and always-on marketing activity.
  • Protect and elevate Riviera’s premium positioning across every market and customer touchpoint.
  • Develop campaign narratives, product stories, PR activity and customer communications.
  • Write and edit copy for campaigns, websites, digital content, video scripts, events and marketing collateral.
  • Review creative work for quality, technical accuracy and commercial effectiveness.
  • Improve the planning, consistency and performance of social media communications.
  • Oversee website, email and digital content with the in-house digital and creative team.
  • Provide Riviera’s international representative network with consistent assets, tools and brand guidelines.
  • Lead marketing delivery for product launches, boat shows, owner experiences, VIP functions and selected internal events.
  • Help lead, coach and coordinate the internal marketing team, creating clarity and accountability.
  • Work closely with executive leadership, product development, engineering, sales, customer care and international representatives.
  • Use existing data and reporting to improve marketing activity and channel performance.
 
About You
Boating knowledge and passion are non-negotiable. You must be an active boater with first-hand understanding of boats, the marine environment and the motivations of luxury yacht owners. This technical and cultural understanding is essential to producing credible marketing and representing the Riviera brand effectively. You will also bring:
  • Senior marketing experience within luxury, premium lifestyle, marine, automotive, aviation, luxury travel or another high-value customer environment.
  • The ability to combine strategic marketing thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Strong copywriting, editing and communication skills.
  • Experience leading or coordinating a multidisciplinary marketing or creative team.
  • Strong judgement across branding, storytelling, customer experience, PR, digital, social media and events.
  • Commercial acumen and confidence using data to improve decisions.
  • Experience supporting product launches, international markets or representative networks.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative, accountable and low-ego leadership style.
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and maintain high quality standards.

This is a full-time, on-site position based on the Gold Coast and requires attendance five days per week.
