About our Client
Our client is an established Australian manufacturer supplying customised industrial equipment to a broad customer base nationally. Quality remains central to the organisation's value proposition, with its products recognised for their build quality, extended warranty and longevity in operation.

About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced Production Scheduler to take ownership of the function in a complex, make-to-order manufacturing environment. The role will suit someone who enjoys being close to operations, understands production planning from the ground up and can bring greater visibility, discipline and control to the process.

The Production Scheduler will ensure customer commitments are translated into realistic, achievable and efficient manufacturing schedules, while effectively balancing production capacity, labour and material availability. You'll maintain a close connection with what's happening on the factory floor, regularly reviewing progress against plan and identifying constraints before they impact delivery. You will play a key role in the daily production meeting, providing clear visibility of progress, highlighting potential issues and ensuring relevant teams understand what is required to keep production on schedule.

You'll help strengthen the broader planning function by developing meaningful production planning KPIs, analysing performance and identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and ways of working.

The Successful Candidate
You'll be an experienced production planning professional from the heavy industry manufacturing, fabrication or a similar industrial environment. You will have planned in a make-to-order environment, understand what good production scheduling looks like and have the capability and patience to work towards 'best in class'. This role requires high attention to detail, maturity, resilience and the ability to influence others (in the right way). Above all, you'll be naturally inquisitive, customer-centric and come to the role with a problem solving and process improvement mindset.
