Gold Coast | Iconic Australian Entertainment & Leisure Business

A rare opportunity exists for a commercially astute and operationally grounded Chief Information Officer to play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of a well-known Australian entertainment and leisure organisation.

This is a high-impact, enterprise-wide leadership role at a critical point in the company’s evolution. The business is entering a significant performance and operating model reset, with technology positioned as a central enabler of improved commercial outcomes, customer experience and organisational efficiency.

The Opportunity

This is not a greenfield transformation. Instead the mandate is clear: stabilise, simplify and modernise a complex technology environment, while aligning technology investment more closely to business priorities.
Key focus areas include:
  • Digital commerce and customer experience uplift
  • Data, analytics and decision support capability
  • Cyber resilience and technology risk management
  • Cloud and infrastructure optimisation
  • Platform stability and service quality
  • Technology cost transparency and vendor discipline
  • Simplification of the technology landscape
  • Practical, well-governed adoption of AI
The successful candidate will bring a pragmatic and hands-on approach, with the ability to balance strategic direction with operational delivery.

About You

You are a commercially minded technology leader with strong financial discipline and a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes. You bring credibility across both executive and operational stakeholders and are comfortable navigating complexity in a multi-divisional environment.

You will demonstrate:
  • Proven experience operating at CIO or equivalent level
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to align technology to business performance
  • Experience leading through operating model resets and organisational change
  • A track record in cost optimisation, vendor management and investment prioritisation
  • Exposure to M&A environments and integration activity
  • Experience within complex, customer-facing organisations
  • Industry background in tourism, retail, FMCG or consumer-led businesses will be highly regarded
This role requires a visible and accountable leader - someone who can make tough decisions, build stakeholder confidence and deliver outcomes with clarity and focus.

Location
Gold Coast-based.

Why Apply?
This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-profile leadership role within an iconic Australian brand and have a direct impact on its performance trajectory. You will play a central role in shaping how technology enables growth, efficiency and customer engagement in a dynamic and evolving environment.
