Six Degrees is partnering with a global manufacturing business looking for a Senior Project Engineer. This is a hands-on project delivery role, working across capital projects, site upgrades, R&D implementation and new technologies.

The role is a 12 month contract with possibility but no guarantee of extension.

You’ll take projects from concept through to design, procurement, contractor management, installation, commissioning and handover, working closely with engineering, R&D, operations, suppliers and contractors.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead a range of CapEx, site, equipment and R&D engineering projects
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules and technical solutions
  • Coordinate design, procurement, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering activities
  • Lead equipment trials, upgrades and implementation of new technologies
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and identify practical engineering solutions
  • Drive projects through installation, commissioning and handover

Some of the projects you’ll initially be involved in include:
  • Mechanical, electrical and controls renovation of critical testing equipment
  • Redevelopment of scientific testing and prototyping laboratories, including design, tendering and coordination
  • Installation and commissioning of EV charging infrastructure

About you:
  • You’ll be a qualified Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Process Engineer with strong project delivery experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technology or R&D environment.
  • You’ll ideally bring8+ years’ engineering experience
  • Proven track record delivering multidisciplinary CapEx projects from concept through to implementation. Strong technical problem-solving skills, contractor management experience and the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders are important.
