Brand Manager
Melbourne's Eastern suburbs | Permanent | Hybrid
A Brand Manager opportunity with a global, market-leading organisation operating across paints, coatings, sealants, building products and cleaning solutions.
The ANZ business has a strong entrepreneurial culture, with a lean and empowered local team that gives marketers genuine ownership to shape strategy, identify growth opportunities and drive commercial performance. This role sits within the paints and coatings portfolio, managing a well-established premium product range with strong consumer and trade recognition. The portfolio is already performing strongly, but there is a clear mandate to modernise the brand, broaden its appeal and unlock new areas of growth.

- Own the brand strategy, annual marketing plan and growth roadmap.
- Manage a 100-SKU paints and coatings portfolio, including positioning, pricing, promotion, margin, pack-price architecture and range optimisation.

- Lead NPD end-to-end, from identifying consumer and customer opportunities through to launch and commercial execution.
- Develop and execute integrated campaigns across digital, social, retail media, in-store and trade channels.
- Own and manage a significant A&P budget, ensuring investment delivers measurable commercial outcomes.
- Lead agency partners across creative, content, paid media, social, search and influencers.
- Build stronger customer and channel strategies in partnership with key retail and trade customers.
- Partner closely with Sales to drive visibility, engagement and sell-through across key channels.
- Use consumer insights, market data and commercial performance to identify opportunities and inform portfolio decisions.
- Present brand strategy, performance and growth opportunities to senior local and global stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure marketing plans translate into strong go-to-market execution.
- Proven experience in Brand Management, Product Marketing or Commercial Marketing, ideally at BM/SBM level.
- Demonstrated ownership of product portfolios, NPD and commercial growth strategies.
- Comfortable managing complex SKU portfolios and making decisions around range, pricing, promotion and portfolio performance.
- Strong commercial acumen across sales, margin, P&L, market share and promotional ROI.
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, positioning, go-to-market and integrated campaign execution.
- A genuine hands-on approach, comfortable developing the strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, agencies and senior leadership.
- Comfortable making decisions in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment without having all the answers.
- Experience across paints, coatings, hardware, tools, building products, industrial, manufacturing or another technical/product-led category would be highly advantageous.
- Bunnings, Mitre 10 or broader retail/trade channel experience would be a strong advantage.
- Own a premium portfolio with strong growth and significant headroom.
- End-to-end ownership across 100 SKUs, NPD, digital, trade and retail.
- Shape the next phase of growth through repositioning, innovation and new category expansion.
- Work with a heritage portfolio trusted by both trade professionals and DIY consumers, with a clear opportunity to modernise and broaden its appeal.
- Join a global organisation with a genuinely entrepreneurial ANZ culture, global scale without the typical corporate layers.
- High visibility and the opportunity to directly influence strategy, commercial performance and the future direction of the portfolio.
- Ideal for a marketer looking for genuine ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to make a visible impact.
