The Business
I'm working with a well-established consumer products business with a diverse portfolio and a strong presence across the Australian retail market. The organisation operates in a fast-paced environment with a broad customer base and an increasingly integrated local and global supply chain function. Due to ongoing business requirements, they are looking to appoint an experienced Demand Planner on an initial 3-month contract.

The Role
Reporting into the local supply chain function, you will take ownership of the Australian demand forecast across a portfolio of 300+ SKUs. Working closely with Sales, Key Account Management and an international planning team, you will analyse historical performance, trends, seasonality and promotional activity to develop accurate and achievable forecasts. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and make informed recommendations. Strong Excel capability is essential, with the role involving detailed forecasting and analysis outside of a dedicated planning system.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced Demand Planner with strong exposure to the Australian retail environment, ideally having worked across major retail customers. You will understand the challenges of forecasting in a fast-moving retail environment and have experience working closely with commercial stakeholders. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data manipulation, are essential. Experience across FMCG, consumer goods or a similar environment will be highly regarded. You will be commercially minded, analytical and comfortable working autonomously in a role where you are expected to take ownership.
