Our client is a global leader in the development and manufacture of high-performance inorganic pigments, supplying customers across coatings, plastics and specialty industries. Their Melbourne office supports customers across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
 
This is an opportunity to join a small, experienced and collaborative team where you’ll have genuine variety, responsibility and exposure to an international customer base.
 
Role Overview
We’re looking for an International Technical Sales Support professional to support customers and the wider sales team across APAC.
 
This is an office-based role, with around 50% focused on administration including SAP order processing, pricing, customer enquiries and logistics. The remainder involves customer communication, technical support and sales activity across phone, email and Teams.
 
There’s also an opportunity to develop into more outbound sales and business development activity over time, with a genuine career pathway on offer.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer enquiries, orders and pricing requests.
  • Process orders through SAP.
  • Coordinate shipping and logistics across Asia and from the US.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints.
  • Conduct customer follow-ups and outbound calls.
  • Support customers across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
  • Provide support across the wider team when required.
  • Develop into more outbound sales and business development activities.
 
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Confident dealing with customers and difficult conversations.
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable with administration and structured processes.
  • SAP experience advantageous, but not essential.
  • Experience with technical products or B2B customer service preferred.
  • Background in coatings, plastics, chemicals, packaging or construction materials advantageous.
  • Science degree preferred, but not essential.
  • Practical, adaptable and willing to contribute across the team.
  • Genuine interest in learning technical products and developing commercial skills.
