The Opportunity
Our client is a growing, product-based business looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team in Melbourne's inner east on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity.
Reporting to senior leadership, you'll be responsible for coordinating day-to-day supply chain activities across the business. Supply chain plays a central role in the operation, so you'll have real visibility and impact.
This is a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator looking to take ownership of a function and help shape how it runs during an exciting period of growth and change, including a new ERP implementation.
You'll work closely with an established, experienced team and internal stakeholders across the business. You'll help maintain existing processes while bringing in more modern supply chain practices over time.

What you'll be doing
- Coordinating day-to-day supply chain activities across the business.
- Managing purchase orders and following up with suppliers on open orders, delivery dates and availability.
- Monitoring outstanding orders and resolving potential supply issues.
- Maintaining accurate supply chain, product and supplier data.
- Using Excel to manipulate, cleanse and manage data, particularly during the ERP transition.
- Working with the existing team to capture and document key processes and knowledge.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and gradually introducing more modern ways of working.
- Supporting new product development activity from a supply chain perspective.
- Experience in supply chain coordination, purchasing, inventory or a similar role.
- Strong Excel skills, including XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, formulas and data manipulation.
- Experience working with suppliers, purchase orders and stock availability.
- ERP experience is required, and exposure to a system implementation is advantageous.
- Experience in wholesale, distribution, manufacturing or consumer products environments is beneficial.
- A calm, patient and collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- A proactive problem-solver who is driven by outcomes and enjoys working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Initial 6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
- High visibility across the business and exposure to senior leadership.
- Exposure to an ERP implementation and new product development.
