Demand & Allocation Lead

Location: melbourne
Salary: $80 - $90 per hour
Job Type: temporary
Contact: Tiernan O'Brien
I’m working with a fast-growing FMCG manufacturer in Melbourne. Demand is outpacing supply, plans are moving quickly, and they need an experienced planner to take control of the short-term picture for the next few months.

What you’ll be doing
  • Deciding how stock is allocated across products and customers in the next few weeks, while supply is tight
  • Reading production plans against stock on hand and stock at risk, and making clear decisions
  • Managing new product launches and range changes
  • Adjusting the short-term forecast and explaining changes to Sales stakeholders at every level
  • Building practical solutions in Excel
Who this suits
You could come from demand planning, supply planning, inventory or retail supply. The title matters less than how you work. You’re calm with incomplete information, comfortable pushing back, and people trust your judgement. Experience with short shelf-life or fast-moving products is a plus.

The details
  • 3-month fixed-term contract, starting late November
  • Competitive daily rate, at a senior level
  • Melbourne-based, onsite
If you’re after a short, meaningful contract before Christmas, or something to bridge you into a permanent role in the new year, I’d like to hear from you.
