Inventory & Procurement Co-Ordinator
About the business
Our client is an Australian food ingredients business turning over around $300 million a year, and its tonnage has roughly doubled in five years. They import around 70% of their product from the US, Europe and New Zealand and supply medium to large food manufacturers. They’re adding support roles to keep up with that growth, and this is one of them.
Role
You’ll manage the day-to-day inventory for a $60 million stock holding shared across eight salespeople. You’ll decide how stock is allocated, use commercial levers to keep inventory days down, and report on stock positions to senior leaders. Strategic purchasing and supplier negotiations sit with the procurement leads, so your focus is inventory.
You’ll start in the procurement team and move into the supply chain team as inventory management transitions across. You’ll work closely with the Sales, Sales Support and Supply Chain teams, using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Excel and AI reporting tools. You’ll be based in the company’s inner Brisbane office with hybrid working.
Responsibilities
Benefits include an annual wellness allowance, weekly CrossFit classes, a stocked drinks fridge, fresh fruit and snacks, and quarterly culture days. The office has onsite parking and is a short walk from a train station.
