Accounts Receivable

Location: brisbane
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: permanent
Contact: Alexandria Craig
We're partnering with an established business in the food manufacturing sector to recruit an experienced Accounts Receivable to join its finance team based in Ashgrove.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the relationship management, problem-solving and commercial side of accounts receivable, rather than purely high-volume transactional processing.

Working closely with finance leadership, sales teams and customers, you'll manage a debtor ledger while supporting the development and implementation of more structured credit policies and processes.

About the Role
  • Proactively managing debtor accounts, following up outstanding payments and maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Monitoring debtor balances, payment terms, credit limits and overdue accounts.
  • Performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies, including credits, overcharges and undercharges.
  • Reviewing credit applications and conducting credit checks in line with established processes.
  • Supporting credit insurance monitoring and associated administration.
  • Working closely with internal sales teams, management and customers to resolve account queries and payment issues.
  • Preparing debtor reports and undertaking analysis to identify trends and potential risks.
  • Contributing to the implementation and ongoing improvement of credit control policies and procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who brings a confident, proactive and personable approach to accounts receivable and credit control.
  • 3-4+ years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or a similar finance position.
  • Demonstrated experience managing debtor accounts, collections and reconciliations.
  • Confidence communicating with customers, internal sales teams and management.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach to debtor management.
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with accounting systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
Experience with MYOB would be advantageous, although not essential. Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, wholesale or distribution environments would also be well regarded.

What's on Offer?
  • Join an established Australian business within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Take ownership of a manageable debtor ledger, with a focus on credit control rather than high-volume processing.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of credit policies and processes.
  • Receive support and training as new credit procedures are introduced.
  • Work closely with finance leadership and broader commercial teams.
If you're an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and taking ownership of your work, we'd love to hear from you.
