About the Company
This is a growing business who manufactures fabrics for both the commercial & retail market which are based in Southeast Melbourne. This business is seeking a Reliability & Engineering Lead to their maintenance team.

About the Role
The Reliability & Engineering Lead who reports into the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the performance and reliability of production assets, site maintenance and capital projects to increase machine up time and support the overall ANZ strategy. The role will require strong technical and organisational skills coupled with a proactive and collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities are to manage:
  • Setup and develop a suitably comprehensive and sustainable Site Maintenance Program of all plant and equipment, accounting for frequency, type, resources and impact
  • Setup and develop a maintenance inventory system, from the identification of critical spare parts through to tracking of consumables
  • Review, consolidate and streamline engineering and maintenance suppliers and contractors to ensure optimised operational footprint
  • Review and analyse plant performance data to drive improvements in OEE through incremental changes and / or capital investment
  • Direct leadership of at least 2 maintenance personnel and external contractors
  • Support the roll out of Lean Manufacturing across the site
  • Financial management of the R&M budget

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or relevant engineering discipline
  • Significant proven experience in engineering, reliability and maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing sector, ideally FMCG.
  • Experience developing and implementing maintenance strategies and processes to ensure optimal machine performance whilst managing impact to cost and time.
  • Strong practical knowledge of root cause analysis techniques and failure mode effect analysis
  • Experience in continuous improvement / lean methodologies
  • Experience working in a ISO9001 and HACCP certified environment
  • Able to build strong relationships across the business at all levels and influence key stakeholders
