WHS Advisor - Renewable Energy
About the Company
Our client is a leading worldwide renewable developer with over 20 years’ experience developing, constructing and operating world class wind and solar projects, with an investment value of over US$5Bn.
About the Role
Based in Gulgong, this will be the main WHS resource for a 400 megawatt (MW) solar farm across 1,000 hectares in the Central West region of NSW. You will be part of the project team reporting through to the Project Manager with a dotted line to the business WHS Manager, to manage on-site health and safety risks, implementing and monitoring WHS, and ensuring compliance. With key accountability areas such as contractor management, implementing WHS systems, strategies and tools, risk identification, compliance and reporting.
The Successful Candidate
Ideally you will have a WHS background from either construction or the renewable energy space, with a focus on safety and risk management with a minimum of 4 years WHS experience. Minimum qualifications would be Certificate IV in WHS or Training and Assessment, with experience managing inductions, toolbox talks, incident reporting and identifying, assessing and controlling hazards. With multiple stakeholders, including landowners you will need to an open and honest communicator, who is a team player and capable of building effective relationships.
