Our client is a world-renowned leader in sustainable tourism, offering visitors a unique and award-winning experience of an ancient rainforest via one of the world's longest cableways. We are seeking a proven, visitor-focused leader to manage cableway operations, health and safety, and environmental management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of managers and frontline staff, with the goal of delivering a world-class visitor experience 364 days of the year.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage cableway operations, health and safety, and environmental management
  • Develop and administer policies, practices, and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Work outdoors and at heights
  • Take on significant responsibility and work under pressure
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership and planning skills
  • Qualifications in management, business, and/or operations management
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced tourism or comparable service environment
  • Proven experience in occupational health and safety
  • Ability to understand basic mechanical and engineering concepts
  • Motivated to drive continuous improvement
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to work under pressure
This position is hands-on and requires a candidate who is willing to roll up their sleeves to inspire a team of excellent managers and frontline staff to deliver a world-class visitor experience. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on experience.
