HSEQ Manager - Circular Economy
About the company
This is a unique not-for-profit that diverts would-be waste, upcyles it and commercialises innovative products to market across a range of applications. The operation is highly values and purpose driven, but also operates as a commercial business - a strong balance between mission, and drive to achieve a financial return which enables further investment in that mission.
About the role
This is a newly created role and is consdered 'mission critical' as the organisation scales up. You will be responsible for ensuring that safety is core within all business activities across the value chain - from collection to manufacturing and supply. The business has a rudimentary system in place but is not fit-for-purpose based on their organisational aspiration - your agenda will be to improve and iterate the system (or build a new one) to make it suitable to ensure safety and quality now and into the future through a period of relatively rapid growth.
About you
We're open to existing managers of safety, process safety, or process engineers who are passionate about safety and ready for the next step:
Why apply?
This is a rare opportunity to bring together a role with purpose and business acumen - this role will offer a high level of individual fulfillment as you'll be looking after a growing workforce and have significant accountability for ensuring that people are safe, and you'll be helping to create a genuine environmental benefit while providing real and necessary products to the market. This role will ask you to think holistically about the business and to approach it as though you are an owner, your challenges will be broad and diverse, in an environment where safety is genuinely priority number one.
