The Company
Leading Australian company that specialises in the manufacture and supply of polymer products. It is one of the largest polymer companies in Australia and produces a wide range of products including polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride and low-density polyethylene.

The Opportunity
As a Production Manager you will be looking after the entire production operation for one of the business units. There are 4 rotating shift crews that will report into this role. This is a 24/7 chemical manufacturing operation. This role is based in Botany, NSW.
Please note the site is a Major Hazard Facility.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the production department.
  • People management of blue collar staff within a heavy industry manufacturing environment.
  • Driving a continuous improvement approach including networking with other sites designed to ensure that the best SHE practices are adopted and implemented.
  • Meet production and quality targets, making sure operational personnel meet production targets to schedule.
Skills and Experience Required
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a people leadership role in a blue collar environment.
  • Any experience working in a Major Hazard Facility OR a heavy manufacturing industry (steel, glass, foundries etc.) OR a chemical manufacturing facility will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in initiating and leading continuous improvement or operational excellence projects.
