Inbound Manager
Our client is one of Australia’s leading business in its sector across Australia. They provide wholesale distribution, business and marketing services to community businesses across Australia. They also provide services to their own retail brand.
The Inbound Manager is accountable for the successful operations and management of inbound (receiving), putaways and the MHE team to ensure all receipted stock is moved to its first appropriate location within the day it is received.

The Inbound Manager is accountable for the successful operations and management of inbound (receiving), putaways and the MHE team to ensure all receipted stock is moved to its first appropriate location within the day it is received.
Through their proactive and critical thinking mindset, the Inbound Manager is accountable for:
- Plan and manage the inbound area to ensure any receipted stock is putaway in the same day it is received
- Optimising inbound and decanting operations through analysis and identification of improvement opportunities
- Effective management and collaboration of the Inbound team, including their proactive engagement with the other distribution centre teams
- Ensure a capable and competent team, successfully and safely meeting key performance indicators
- Achievement / demonstration of proactive action to achieve all site key performance metrics, including financial, operational, legislative compliance and safety & wellbeing KPIs
- Strong people leadership track record
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a supply chain / logistics leader
- Demonstrated ability to use data, knowledge and experience to identify problems potentially impacting teams or programs and proactively develop and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated capability to lead, support and manage change within teams. Understanding the impact on the team and taking ownership for implementation of change.
- Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly and concisely ensuring messages are understood by all within the team using a range of communication techniques. Ability to express ideas clearly, listen effectively and provide feedback constructively.
- Demonstrated understanding of key drivers of success within teams to enable achievement of organisational goals. Ability to think and plan goals in the long term as well as the present.
- Demonstrated capability to lead continuous improvement activities and encourage team members to identify ineffective processes and contribute to new ideas and ways of working.
