Inventory Manager
Our client is one of Australia’s leading business in its sector across Australia. They provide wholesale distribution, business and marketing services to community businesses across Australia. They also provide services to their own retail brand.
The Inventory Manager is to manage the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the team on a day-to-day basis. The primary focus is to ensure that all KPIs are met by the team and ensuring the team works collaboratively to achieve safety standards, service (on time and accurate) and cost.

The Inventory Manager is to manage the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the team on a day-to-day basis. The primary focus is to ensure that all KPIs are met by the team and ensuring the team works collaboratively to achieve safety standards, service (on time and accurate) and cost.
Through their proactive and critical thinking mindset, the Inventory Manager is accountable for:
- Manage stock integrity through regular reporting and analysis, advising on security measures, stock holding methods and cycle counting management
- Manage excess and discontinued stock
- Support QA to reduce pick error rates
- Ensure there is effective planning and slotting
- Manage expenditure to achieve outcomes and meet budget
- Liaise with internal teams and business to ensure inventory control process standardisation
- Understand and oversee all extraordinary stock storage requirements for chilled, refrigerated, vault, expiry dates and shortages
To be successful in the roles you will posses:
- Demonstrated understanding and application of safety, finance and transport
- Proven knowledge of WMS systems and Office 365
- Demonstrates the ability to work and lead a change environment
- Demonstrate leadership experience in a DC environment
- Business acumen, commercial knowledge and excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- Detailed knowledge of a broad range of logistics processes, systems and equipment
