Senior Financial Accountant

This role is to be the subject matter expert on all things external financial reporting incorporating half-year and full year consolidated financial statements and ensuring all accounting and reporting is consistent with applicable Accounting Standards.
Main responsibilities include:
• Preparation of consolidated financial reports with associated commentaries for half year and EOFY in accordance with accounting standards.
• Collaborating across the organization to develop and implement policies and procedures that result in AASB compliance.
• Being an active member of the Finance Team to create and lead the implementation of new processes and collection of necessary data to meet reporting requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, consultants, and the Group to achieve all reporting milestones.
• Being aware of current and developing compliance requirements, accounting standards, ASX listing rules and any other aspects impacting on financial reporting and ensuring compliance with those requirements.
• Review of existing reporting processes and controls to streamline reporting and realize efficiencies.
• Assist with the selection and implementation of reporting tools.
• Liaise with divisional teams to review monthly results, understand drivers and new developments in the business that may require an assessment of accounting treatment.
• Providing expert technical advice, financial information, and reporting to management.
• Keep abreast with new/ changes to IFRS/ AASB, provide management updates and facilitate training within the finance team to ensure compliance.
• Any other related task as per your manager.
