Small and privately owned, their head office based in south east suburbs of Melbourne and employee headcount of circa 90 staff.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the CEO, this is a newly created role to help drive their technology and digital transformation. Experience in the implementation of ERP and CRM solutions (ideally Microsoft D365) highly regarded. The ideal candidate will also have experience leading software product development teams and an understanding of IOT.
A key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for setting the technology strategy and roadmap. You will lead digital transformation initiatives to build their best-in-class technology platforms for high performance, scalable growth and to sustain competitive advantage in the market.
The CTO will play a central strategic role in the business, driving significant improvements to their product offering, to our operating platforms and to the overall digital capability of the business.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop a robust technology roadmap that aligns to business objectives and strategies
- Develop short to mid-term plans for optimising use of technology
- Maintain current and develop new IT platforms, architectures, IT systems software, hardware and databases
- Manage IT projects - the first major project being a ERP upgrade (moving to the Cloud – from Dynamics AX to D365)
- Look for opportunities to drive continuous improvement and innovation – stay abreast of new technologies (our client has a strong footprint in IoT)
- Develop a systemised & automated approach to data & report management that enables better, more informed, real time decision making to drive increased productivity and efficiencies.
- Oversee data security and management
- Manager service provider partnerships
About you
- Experience in a similar role as CIO/CTO/Head of IT
- Experience in the implementation of enterprise-wide solutions. Microsoft D365 experience in F&O highly regarded.
- Experience with software product development teams and an understanding of IOT
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen
- Customer-focused (internal and external) approach
- Hands-on approach to the implementation of technology projects
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing change as well as managing complex projects
