They manufacture locally and off the back of their national success are looking to strategically take their brand and products into new markets and categories. About the role
As the Product Manager you will play a key role in managing the new product development projects and provide the marketing, branding and packaging expertise in the end to end process. Working collaboratively with internal cross functional teams as well as external stakeholders, you will coordinate the stage gate process, deliver the marketing inputs, and ensure that trademarks, compliance and packaging are on point for all the relevant markets. This role will also require you to:-
  • Execute current range reviews and management
  • Manage packaging requirements for all new and existing product range
  • Manage Trademark and IP for new and existing marks
  • Liaise with sales and trade marketing teams to keep abreast of product strategies
  • Support customer presentations in terms of product development, ranging and deletions
  • Budget co-ordination and reconciliation specific to area of responsibility
 
Skills, Experience and Opportunity
To be successful in this role, you will possess the below skills and experience:
  • Sound understanding of the end-to-end product development life cycle process and see things through a marketing lens
  • Understands broad legislative, economic and technological trends and predicts what affect they will have on the organisation
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work with broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Evaluates and prioritises issues and links them to business drivers
  • A background in Food, Beverage, FMCG production is highly desirable
  • Degree in a related field is highly regarded
