Operations Manager
Our client is a leading supplier of raw materials for the Composite manufacturing market. They provide a wide range of tier-one raw materials, tools and consumables to a variation of customers - from small and mid-size businesses to large volume accounts and projects. They pride themselves on being a one-stop shop and carrying the best range of products and technology from around the globe, as well as locally manufactured goods. Their suppliers are tier one in their fields and with their partnerships offer a high degree of knowledge and technical support and ability. They are based in the South Brisbane area and distributed throughout Queensland and all other States and Territories including the Pacific Islands.
The business has seen incredible growth in the last few years, and with a predicted growth forecast, are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to assist in the day-to-day Operations of the warehouse and staff as well as assisting in the setup of a new greenfield site which is due to be completed in April 2023.

This will be including, but not limited to:
- Management of warehouse, logistics and purchasing staff
- Inventory Management
- Safety & OHS requirements (Dangerous Goods background preferable)
- Daily start-up and shutdown procedures including toolbox talks
- Staff planning – rostering and work flow
- Overseeing blending – resins, flow coats and gel coats
- Monthly reporting
- Logistics contracting
- ERP (SAP) system implementation
- Strong analytical and people leader background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a supply chain/logistics leader
- Demonstrated ability to use data, knowledge, and experience to identify problems potentially impacting teams or programs and proactively develop and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated capability to lead, support and manage change within teams. Understanding the impact on the team and taking ownership of the implementation of change.
- Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly and concisely ensuring messages are understood by all within the team using a range of communication techniques.
- Ability to express ideas clearly, listen effectively and provide feedback constructively.
- Demonstrated understanding of key drivers of success within teams to enable achievement of organisational goals.
- Ability to think and plan goals in the long term as well as the present.
- Demonstrated capability to lead continuous improvement activities and encourage team members to identify ineffective processes and contribute to new ideas and ways of working.
