I am partnering with a large reputable food distributor based Dandenong South, the business has been in the market for over 20 years with more than 100 staff, and are continuing to grow.

The assistant accountant/junior accountant is responsible in assisting the Financial Controller for analysing
and reporting on financial transactions and information for all entities of the group. They are also
responsible for processing the group entities payroll on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities:

Payroll – All duties required such as payroll processing and compliance
Customer and Supplier Statements reconciliation
HR Administration works including filing of personnel information
Group Companies Budgets – preparation and analysis
Management of group rebates – customers and suppliers
Preparation of Monthly Management Reporting – reconciliation of Balance Sheet items and analysis of Profit & Loss items
Analysis and reporting of company KPI and metrics
Assist in the Year End Financial preparation of financial statements
End of financial year compliance with ATO for STP reporting and superannuation reconciliations
Month End and Year End Processing – including assisting in the preparation of BAS and Payroll tax
Ensure all Companies compliance are met, ATO, SRO, ASIC etc.
Assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Department
Ensure integrity of GL
Monitoring and maintaining of the Fixed Asset Register
Stock Take assistance
Bank Reconciliations for all entities
Other General Accounting Duties
