About the Role:

Our state government client is seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engagement Manager.
This role will be required to build and maintain relationship management and stakeholder engagement. The successful applicant must have a track record of managing stakeholder engagement for complex policy-related projects.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of complex communication and stakeholder engagement strategies to support high profile projects across a diverse range of subjects and stakeholder groups, including State and Commonwealth governments, community groups, First Nations people, industry, and professional representative bodies.
  • Lead and manage the provision of high level, expert, and authoritative advice to senior management on complex stakeholder engagement activities related to the team’s work portfolio.
  • Work with other team leaders in the business group to shape government policy and strategy related to the team’s work portfolio.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships within the broader team and with key stakeholders to enable the collaborative formulation and delivery of customer focussed outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, submissions, correspondence, briefing materials and presentations to convey the findings of complex stakeholder engagements for a range of audiences.
  • Contribute to a culture of service delivery and high performance that recognises the unique contribution of the individual, encourages personal and team development, and encourages an appropriate work/life balance.
 
SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Demonstrated experience in a stakeholder engaement role
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development, implementation and evaluation of complex communication and stakeholder engagement strategie
  • Have highly developed interpersonal communication, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • While not mandatory, experience as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person or experience in engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable
  • Experienced working within Government is highly desirable but not essential
