About the role
Reporting to the Product Owner – Digital Platforms, this role will focus on internal technical support and advice for the organisation’s consumer facing websites & web applications while advocating and strengthening information security controls and data integrity.
The role will further contribute to the success of Visit Victoria’s digital strategy, provide technical support to internal stakeholders and facilitate the ongoing maintenance of core digital platforms and systems in conjunction with contracted parties.
 
Some key responsibilities include;
  • Troubleshooting level 1 & 2 technical issues with websites, APIs and web applications, including www.visitvictoria.com, www.visitmelbourne.com, whitenight.com.au and www.melbournecb.com.au
  • Contribute to acceptance testing for digital initiatives and enhancements for Visit Victoria’s digital channels to maximise project success.
  • Contribute to improved security practices and data governance across the organisation. Assist with the identification, remediation and testing of information security vulnerabilities.
 
Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years experience in similar role/s
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant digital field.
  • Testing experience (UAT) - Automated and/or manual
  • Familiarity with the software development and maintenance lifecycle, agile project methodologies and a demonstrated enthusiasm for learning
  • Strong technical knowledge of HTML, CSS and multimedia
  • Experience with one or more content management systems (SiteCore, WordPress, Craft, Drupal, etc)
  • Preferred but not essential – cloud infrastructure experience, high-level understanding of coding, cyber security risks and mitigation strategies and experience in large scale public facing website.
