About the Company
I am currently working with a well-known growing beverage business who are based in Dandenong South. This business has moved into a brand-new state of the art facility and are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.

About the Role
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be required to lead the maintenance team (two fitters) to ensure the reliability and availability of all brewing and production-related equipment to achieve quality, operational and production objectives, through both preventative and reactive maintenance activities. You will so actively participate in company strategy discussions with the leadership team and execute continuous development projects.
Key responsibilities:
  • Work with the production team to ensure that production lines are running at maximum efficiencies;
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure plant and equipment is in optimum condition to achieve the operational requirements;
  • Use fault-finding and root cause analysis methodologies to accurately and efficiently identify the cause of mechanical issues or failures
  • Carry out troubleshooting activities in response to issues that slow or disrupt production
  • Identify processes which can be improved in line with the Continuous Improvement strategy, including contributing to capex projects;
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams and departments to ensure customer requirements are met;
  • Manage contractor activities on site. This includes inductions and job management (quality, safety, cost)
  • Engage with maintenance service providers and trades as needed to ensure effective support and collaboration where necessary
  • Liaise with scheduling and other members of the production team to plan required equipment repairs and maintenance to minimise disruption and downtime.
  • Support the on-the-job training of line operators to monitor and report potential faults
  • Participate in all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental activities to meet internal and external requirements, including audits.

 
Skills & Experience
This is an exciting and integral role within the business for future growth and your experience and skill set will include the following:
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a supervisor position
  • A proven track record in a trade role with strong mechanical and/ or electrical skills.
  • Formal training in CI/LEAN techniques would be advantageous.
  • Ability to appropriately manage tasks and priorities whilst under pressure without compromising safety or product quality.
  • An effective communicator with strong oral and written communication abilities, used to working with a culturally diverse workforce.
